Teneo becomes Carbon Neutral
Teneo has recently become a more environmentally aware organisation, working with the Carbon Neutral Company to offset our business related carbon emissions.
Teneo has assessed its carbon footprint, including energy consumption, business travelling and deliveries and is now working with the Carbon Neutral Company to offset these emissions.
Piers Carey, CEO of Teneo comments:
"The Directors of Teneo are all environmentally aware and decided that Teneo should become a Carbon Neutral company and offset our carbon emissions. Offsetting is a great way to balance out your carbon impact. What it means is if you put 1 tonne of CO2 into the air then you need to either take it out again or prevent another tonne somewhere else from being released. The latter method is relatively easy to do. If a wind farm can generate an extra amount of energy and this is bought by an electricity company INSTEAD of them buying coal generated energy you can save carbon. So through our association with the Carbon Neutral Company we pay for sustainable energy to be produced instead of coal energy."
